Yup this honestly was a perfect showing how much progress XY and Caili's relationship has gone from the first time they met till now. Especially for the Queen and her feelings as well as XY there is a spark there that seems to be more than just friendship a lot similar to Yun Yun ^_^ but i can see him being unaware of those feeling just yet as they are more physical redaction atm than a counties one + wanting to be fateful to Xun'er subconsciously is playing a part too for sure. Now moments like this are absolutely great writing. What can i say my man XY loves his first wifu Xun'er that will never change as she is his first love witch is never forgettable but he does kind of have a type for older woman it seems. I'm definitely looking forward to XY and Caili reunion as much build up later reunion well see with Xun'er after the saving the Master probably.

Normally I would complain about slow the romantic development is but considering they are such an unlikely pair who had zero romantic emotions for one another except one wanting to kïll the other and the other being fearful. This slow burn is actually beautiful, how their emotions are slowly developing for each other and now the distance will make the heart grow fonder for one another. When that day arrives that Cai Lin is talking about Xiao Yan will be qualified to be her husband.

according to the snippet from the novel I read earlier, Xiao Yan opened his arms to hug her and she went to him and while they were hugging he placed his hand on the small of her back that led to her getting her excited hence her biting her lip which is a good indication of when women have naughty thoughts especially when they day dream too. They could have done the hug scene and skipped the lip biting moment, yet what they did do was enough to show that they have fairly strong feelings for each other.

Yea a bit more would have been nice to see in the donghua adaptation like in that LN moment o well. I'm still happy enough with what we got thou a bit disappointing reading this. I haven't read the LN and the more I'm seeing people comparing the two from the readers it does make me want to read it once the adaption is finished how ever long that will take as i prefer the animated experience first then reading the source material its adapted from ^_^ btw its super rare that the adaptation being on the same lvl as its source material because its an adaptation stuff has to be changed for the media its in alleys keep that in mind.

I haven't read the LN either, I did take a look at the manga version but I stopped reading after Xiao Yan finally caught up with Xun Er again and entered the dungeon that his family keepsake is part of a key of. I also prefer the animated experience because I find it more enjoyable

O well its fine to feel disappointment but i respectfully disagree. So far for me its not disappointing at all how Caili and XY's relationship is turning out and there doughier is neither confirmed or denied in the series itself witch is fine so far. As that is spoiler from the story that should be cleared at there future reunion for us that haven't read the source material a daughter being talked right now is simply spoilers and nothing more with how the story is. Btw id be even more happy from this series if they conceive that doughier after the reunion and Caili XY couple have set sail rather than it being a result of that scene under the volcano both is fine and i have a feeling thats what the studio is going for to avoid problems with CN censorship and what not. It'll probably fly better with them as well. True we all know this is a harem show that is perfectly normal for its time period portrail to have more than one wife i totally agree on that one and it really works. Unlike some Harem shows animes have that simply don't work as they alleys end up being the main wife and the others the rejected women's club usually xD. In BTTH its pretty obvious by the story progresses so far (im not counting any spoilers) that XY will have at least Xun'er and Medusa as his wifes. Now for the other ladies Yun Yun has the biggest shot in my opinion to be included thou the ship might have sunk on that one already. As for Fairy Doctor i think she does like him but XY sees her more as a kid sister than a love interest we'll see how it turn out. I don't mind Fairy Doctor being apart of the Harem in the end she looks powerful and cute enough to be included. Still we'll see what Xun'er and Caili have to say about more wifes :D
